Waterproof performance of headphones generally depends on its structure and waterproof process. Waterproof structure reduces pressure on exposed gap of surface by reducing splicing of surface. Waterproof process, such as nano-waterproof technology, cover surface of product components with a layer of polymer with a thickness of only nanometers for isolation protection.

Waterproof level

The IP (INGRESS PROTECTION) protection level system is drafted by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) to classify electrical appliances according to their dustproof and moisture-proof characteristics. The higher the number, the higher the protection level.

0: No special protection, and no special protection against water or moisture;

1: Protection from vertically dripping water; (such as condensed water)

2: Protection from vertically 15º dripping water;

3: Protection from rain, and from sprayed water in the direction of the vertical angle less than 60 degrees;

4: Protection from splashed water;

5: Protection from jetting water for at least 3 minutes;

6: Protection from powerfully jetting water;

7: Protection against immersion for 30 minutes in water up to 1 meter deep;

8: Protection against complete, continuous submersion in water with a depth of more than 1 meter.
